05 - Dip each chicken strip into the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure proper adhesion.
06 - Arrange coated strips in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray both sides with olive oil spray.

08 - Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

# Helpful Tips:

01 -
  • You get that satisfying crunch without heating up a pot of oil or dealing with the cleanup.
  • The Parmesan in the breading adds a nutty, salty depth that makes these taste almost fancy.
  • They cook in twelve minutes, which means you can have dinner ready faster than delivery.
  • Leftovers reheat beautifully in the air fryer and stay crispy, not soggy.
02 -
  • If you skip drying the chicken, the breading will slide right off during cooking and you'll be left with sad, naked strips.
  • Don't crowd the basket, even if it means cooking in two batches, because overlapping pieces steam instead of crisp.
  • Let the chicken sit at room temperature for ten minutes before breading so it cooks more evenly.
03 -
  • Add a pinch of cayenne or chili powder to the breading if you want a subtle kick without overwhelming the kids.
  • Press the breadcrumbs on firmly with your palms, it feels like overkill but it's the secret to keeping the coating intact.
  • If you don't have an oil spray, brush a tiny bit of olive oil on with a pastry brush, it works just as well.
